If your talking custom (one off, money no object ) build then who knows, maybe 300+ ??
All it takes is cubic dollars.. Hennessey Twin Turbo Viper claims 255mph http://www.zercustoms.com/news/2007-...Turbo-SRT.html Found this in Forbes: 5 year old article so Im sure the numbers are faster now http://www.forbes.com/2005/11/23/fas...28feat_ls.html __________________________________________________ _ Forbes.com recently searched high and low for the 10 fastest American cars to grace the planet Earth and came up with a pretty impressive list. At the top is the SSC Ultimate Aero (shown), with a trim V8 (no, that isn't a typo) that produces a stunning 1,046 horsepower and a maximum speed of 260-273 mph. We'll get our fill of the Aero soon as the car is being featured in upcoming issues of The Robb Report, Motor Trend and Road & Track. Also gracing the list is the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo that tops out at 240-260 mph, the Ford GT at 205 mph and the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with a top speed of 198 mph. Of special interest were the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Magnum SRT8s, which tied for ninth place, and the Caddy CTS-V in 10th, which are arguably the only cars on that list you would actually want to drive year-round. |

I imagine either Ford GT or Z07 Vette would be the fastest top speed regular production American cars.. You would have to disable the electronic speed limiters though.
(I dont consider Callaway/Saleen/"tuner" cars regular production cars) http://videos.streetfire.net:80/vide...-of_726077.htm Forbes.com recently searched high and low for the 10 fastest American cars to grace the planet Earth and came up with a pretty impressive list. I had an '09 Charger SRT8 and for the money that was one hell of a car. I traded it on my new truck, but I WILL have another one.
Unless of course I hit the powerball and then I WILL own a SUPER CUDA...:evilb: |
