I thought it was the rear joint from the video at first,,,,, but if you look at the end of the video,,,, the yoke is still flopping around on the U joint

I don't think its the yoke, or u-joints, I think the motor locked up, but the props were still spinning incredibly fast, causing the drive shaft to blow out of the housing...

The rear u joint failed. as you can see it decimated the shroud and wiped out a 2 inch thick carbon stringer not to mention the tranny, drive plate bell housing etc

. I think the HP numbers everyone is used to seeing nowadays have desensitized us to the amazing forces at work in our boats this vid clearly depicts the violence when it is unleashed somewhere other than the prop. Stray and the boys will have her fixed and turned around for Biloxi in a week and a half...now thats amazing stuff

How much horsepower is going through that single shaft? Looks like that is the current weakest link in the chain?
