Hi there,

I picked up some old 1970's powerboat magazines and read a lot about a guy named Art Norris and his awesome boat "slapshot".

What ever happened to him? Is he still alive? Did he race for long? Does anyone know where his boat ended up?

I had the pleasure to meet him a couple of years ago as he traveled through GA. He had stopped at a campground that I frequent with my business to work on RV's. He stopped and asked if I could look at a problem he was having. When I saw the picture of his boat "Slapshot" I found out who he was. I had to come back the next day to complete the job and brought my son to meet him and the two talked shop. He was on his was still hanging out around the boat scene. It was a pleasure to talk with and meet him...

Never had the pleasure of meeting him but did get to drool all over his boat as a young teen, circa....., early '70's.
