Anybody know of a good guy to do a leakdown and compression test on a boat with blowers?
SHould I get a surveyor to do this or do it myself?
I have never bought a boat before so if I sound like an idiot dont make too much fun!
boat is about 30 miles south of DC

OK, let me first be honest with you, if you have never purchased a boat before you really should reconsider a boat with blowers. You are talking about 575-1100HP motors that can be good or be a nightmare, for a first boat I would say stay with stock motors that any good marine mechanic can inspect.

I know it is good advice but this boat is what I want and I am well prepared for the whole deal. There are some pretty good mechanic's in Toronto that I know.
ANybody got any idea on a good surveyor or a guy to do my leakdown and compression testing?

I got a taste of that from someone else and it doesn't taste good!!On another note...
You can ask Dave Govatos @ MDG Performance. He does my engine work and is highly reputable.

Yep, I try not to let anyone else feel the same pain. At least from the same source. Sorry to hear that you got the same treatment....hope it all worked itself out. You and Nancy have a good Thanksgiving
