I can't make it up there this year, but my folks are gonna be there in their sea ray.

We're going (rafting up Thursday around noon). From what we are hearing, they are supposed to have a much tighter handle on events in the basin this year. (supposedly limiting the number of boats to 100 and treatening anyone who is too rowdy with some kind of anchoring in federal waters for more than 24 hours rule) In other words, I hope it is more tame than years past. I'd hate to have to b*tch smack someone for disrespecting the boat.

There are some other sites with the ridicilous pictures from the bridge (400+ boats in a 2 acre area) I can't remember which site I saw them on though, might be the Chesapeake Inn's site.

Locals know not to go to this thing unless you want your boat dinged up by a bunch of drunks that have NO BUISNESS operating a vessel probably even sober.
