Mill creek, Cuckhold Creek, St Leonards Creek are great spots to anchor.

Battle creek, still has 1 sand bar that we are allowed to use, but that fills up quick with boats.

Jellies are in St leonards already, not sure how far they made it up the river.

They never go up past benidict bridge. However the water up that far is pretty nasty. Dont wear white swim shorts .... They will be brown when you get out of the water. So will your hull.

I think I've been to the sand bar at the mouth of Battle creek, if it's the same one.

I know what your saying about the water, the Potomac is the same. You have to go pretty far south to get good water, but then have to deal with the jellies.

The one at the mouth has been taken over by the state and deamed "protected" The second one is just past the day/channel markers on the same side. Just a few hundred yards past the first one.
