Got pulled over for routine CG inspection Sat. 8/23 had just came off plane going into Fairview Beach. No problem had everything. They we very professional, and friendly. Seems after that O/B cat had an accident out in front of Tims the weekend before, they will be having a more frequent presence. Since next w/e is Labor day, I am sure they will be back their again. Just a heads up!!

I get pulled over pretty regular out of Colonial Beach , as long as you have all your stuff , its a 10 minute hassle , i even have my Coast Guard aux. sticker for this year , but it still makes me feel good that there being active about protecting people , its my tax dollars at work and in this is one of the ways we can see it in action

Saw on the news another boater got killed on the Va. side of the Potomac yesterday. Looked like a bass boat that I saw being towed in. Hit pilings at the bridge on one of the creeks around Quantico. The news said he had his daughter on board I think she was ok. Very sad. Heres the article
Dale City Man Dies as Boat Hits Quantico Creek Bridge
A Dale City man was killed yesterday when the boat in which he was riding crashed into wooden pilings under the Quantico Creek Bridge, Prince William County Police said.
William K. Wordham, 49, whose teenage daughter was driving the 18-foot boat, fell from the vessel when the crash occurred, police said. His body was recovered by a police diving team about 3 p.m.
The girl, 15, was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening. Neither she nor her father were wearing life jackets, police said.
