Last weekend I ventured up to National Harbor and Georgetown. Stayed the night at National Harbor. No one seemed to mind a loud boat at all. Had a good time in Georgetown, although National Harbor seems to shut down pretty hard at midnight or so. Very nice facility though.

What is this "boaters card" someone mentioned a few pages back?

A card showing that you completed a certified boating safety course. I think technically you can get fined for boating in DC waters without one. I go up there a few times a year and never been stopped.

Does the Va safe boating class card suffice? I would like to work this into my schedule. Bill, if I can make this happen, where should I put in. I haven't boated on the Potomac in over 30yrs.
