10K4U 08-02-2009 02:07 AM

19th?

Linster 08-02-2009 08:49 AM

marylandmark 08-02-2009 02:07 PM

Less traffic on Fridays...

45sonic 08-02-2009 07:07 PM

I meant the weekend of the 18th-20th. Running up on Sat coming back on Sun.

seltzer 08-02-2009 07:08 PM

rush 08-03-2009 03:32 AM

Which is correct? http://thejerseyboyz.homestead.com/Index.html

Beak Boater 08-03-2009 07:20 AM

Thats also the same weekend as bike week in Ocean City.

45sonic 08-03-2009 07:44 AM

WELL until I can get this sorted out with the races having different dates this will be on HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Dave M 08-03-2009 09:18 AM

Sounds like fun. Are you spending the night on the hook? Old Town? I don't think G-Town lets you stay at the wall all night.

Jpzaluski 08-03-2009 09:44 AM

I'm all in... I'd like to see this happen

chuckels 08-03-2009 10:53 AM

count me in

45SS 08-03-2009 04:19 PM

Let me know Bill we will be there. Old town Alexandria has finally made it into the 20 centry now, you are able to make reservations by phone and with a credit card as of last year. We stay there a couple of times a year. Great docks and old town has plenty to keep you busy at night.

Alexandria $1.50 a foot
National harbor $ 2.25 plus, and everything at National Harbor is priced like you are a millionaire.

45sonic 08-03-2009 07:41 PM

DATE CHANGE: AUGUST 29-30

We will be leaving Saturday morning heading up to DC. There will be a few stops aloing the way that I need to confirm with the venues involved. Tims 1, FT. Washington, to name a couple. I would be open to suggestions, but would like to assemble as a group to ride up to Georgetown

You will have to make your own reservations for overnight but I would suggest Old Town Alexandria contact info to come

National Harbor I'd love to visit to see how they react to our presence

There are ramps in the area that can be suggested if anyone needs one

Jpzaluski 08-03-2009 08:03 PM

How far south on the river would the group be assembling? I'd be coming out of Aquia Creek area.

45SS is from Cobb Island, Chuckels is from St. Marys County, Beak is from Port Tobacco, etc so you will be fine.

45sonic 08-04-2009 06:43 PM

Correction: we are out of Cobb Isl and 45SS is out of Leesylvania. We are most probably going to all meet at Tim's 1 and head up from there. Time has not been confirmed just yet

45SS 08-04-2009 07:14 PM

I will probably leave out Friday night and go to TIM'S, so anybody on the way up stop in and find me on Saturday or come Friday and we can start early. Tim does not charge to dock, and preferres you stay if drinking. Anybody wanting to stay in Old Town Alexandria can check out their web site (alexandriava.gov) they have everything listed under marine.

BUSTED!!!!!!!!!

marylandmark 08-07-2009 11:13 AM

I plead (and drank) the 5th

marylandmark 08-10-2009 12:18 PM

I did some training this past weekend..

- Annapolis Saturday
- Veras White Sands Sunday

Bring your lunch pail- this could get ugly. I requested a handicap room so I'll be close to the elevator and wider hallways so I don't run in to any thing...

seltzer 08-10-2009 03:08 PM

Whos gonna volunteer to help me carry MM to his room while Jamie ( what a saint ) pays the bar tab?

45sonic 08-12-2009 02:05 PM

OK, here's a tenative schedule

For southern boaters heading up and if some of you from up north want to run down

Meet at Tim's 2 Fairview at 11:00am
Depart from Tim's 2 Fairview by 11:30

Head up to Tim's 1 we will be there from arrival til about 2:00pm

I would like to get to DC by 3:00, those who want to check in wherever you are staying (if you are staying) may do so.
http://alexandriava.gov/recreation/i....aspx?id=12474

I'd like also to head up to the Wall in Georgetown for either a pass thru or maybe find someone to let us tie up.

Some of us may shoot over to National Harbor to check it out

If anyone has any preferences as to what they might like to do while up in the DC area please feel free to add to the disorganized schedule.

Other than that this is an unorganized event with planning up to each boat and participants. As usual BUI is strictly enforced especially above the Woodrow Wilson bridge.

Beak Boater 08-12-2009 06:49 PM

I wonder if they will try to inforce that D.C. Boating Certif. if anyone gets pulled over for a routine check? I dont know how many go-fasts venture up that far anymore. May draw some attention. I pasted the course, got to find my certification. See you at Tims 2

The CG does hang out and do random safety checks in Georgetown. They will ask for your boaters card. I've seen them a couple time this season.

Just FYI.

I wonder how a certain person (not I) is feeling today after puking all over the elevator.

I tried calling house keeping from the phone in the elevator-apparently the phone in the elevator is only to be used for emergencies- who knew.. LOL!

+1

Was an awesome time!

We rolled out around 10AM after breakfast at Big O's joint next door.

Our plan was to go out on the boat to see The Worx down at Gilligan's but once Jamie hit the couch all bets were off.

Brian- don't remember when you rolled out but it got real ugly at the after party in room 266; smart man if you were gone by then...

ThunderStruck53 08-17-2009 02:36 PM

Oh yeah...i was definitely gone by then!!! I rolled out around 11:30....btw, minus the big sign that states "for emergency use only", I can totally see how you could use the phone in the elevator for house keeping.....:lolhit:
