My dad keeps his boat in the water at Point Lookout Marina so we are down there all the time. The resturaunt is under new management as of '09 and the food and service has been great last year and starting off great this year also.
I was talking with Steve who runs the place last week when I was down there for 2 days and he was telling me that he is looking at getting a nice band in there this summer and trying to have a couple nice parties. The docking is free if you eat at the resturaunt which most people dont know.
I told him that I would post on here and see if there is any interest from the speed boat crowd versus the couple yacht clubs that come down once a season. He sounded intersted in being part of a poker run if anyone is putting one on in the lower Potomac this year.
I know I have seen some nice speed boats running around down that way but not near as much up around Capt. Billys, Tims I or Tims II. I'm just testing the waters for him.

I am going down this Sunday and should see Steve. I will check and see if he has any dates in mind yet.
45sonic It will be a nice ride for you down river from Cobb Island. If I'm not mistaken we made it from PLO marina up to the bridge in about 1:30 hours running around 30mph or just under. Had a stiff wind coming rite down the river and heading rite into the waves made for a slower trip to Leeslyvania that morning. If you plan it out a week in advance let me know and maybe we can meet up and have a couple drinks.

Cool I look forward to checking everyones boats out, especially since the transient dock is just across our dock on A dock and just past the fuel dock. I tried to label the transient dock and fuel dock but it did not work. The fuel dock is the first short dock on the right and the transient dock is the first long dock just past the fuel dock.
