Lake Allatoona Preservation Authority is having a "Tree Planting" at our Educational Outreach Center on Kellogg Creek Road Saturday, April 27, beginning at 9:00 a.m. We lost trees to pine beetles and have received 500 hardwoods to replace them. Also, Lake Allatoona Awareness Week is scheduled for May 6-11, 2002. On Saturday, May 11, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. we are having a festivities day at the Educational Outreach Center with environmental exhibitors and activities, contests, and a boat parade. If you are interested in volunteering for either of these events, please contact me for more information.

Hey DW - any idea about meeting place, times, etc. for Saturday? Saturday is looking like the chiller of the two weekend days so this might be a good "warm up" to the day if they are starting early.

Hope you have fun. LS-7 and I will be busy installing an engine on Saturday. Hope all goes well. He just may make it to Florida after all. Keep your fingures crossed.
