Florida run

Most of the details are completed however, I need someone from the south side to pick an exit for the rest of the group to hook up. I know very little about that end of town. Once I have that exit number, I can finish the stuff and get it out.

gaboatnut 04-24-2002 09:10 AM

How far south?

SeaDated 04-24-2002 09:11 AM

Well, some where near Atlanta...say around 25 mile south or so?

gaboatnut 04-24-2002 09:20 AM

The exit PAST Southlake Mall..cant remember the name, but will look it up...has a shopping center on the right right after you exit 75....big parking lot...easy return access. That about it for my knowledge of the south side. If you waited until Forsyth/Macon, there is a rest stop right before the I-475 split. Got any idea of what time you'll be passing thru Macon? I am doing a career day at one of the local high schools that Thursday, but plan on being on the road in the early afternoon. I'll be jumping 75 in Macon.

I just this past Feburary drove thru Palatka on my way from Miami (dont ask!) We came thru Lake City before getting back on 75. That way was a lot better than fighting downtown Gainesville. Ya got any idea of route?

SeaDated 04-24-2002 11:17 AM

Gaboatnut

Thanks for the info. The exit number would be a great help. We will past thru Macon about 7:30 or 8:00AM. Wish you could make the group run down but you won't be far behind. The directions will be posted soon with all the exit numbers etc, but here's a short version. I-75 south to Route 100 (Lake city). Route 100 east. we take the trucking route 10A around Lake city business district and back onto Route 100 to Palatka merging with US17 to the bridge at the hotel. It sounds like the way you went too.

gaboatnut 04-24-2002 12:03 PM

Yepper, thats the way I went. Cant help ya with the exit numbers, since they changed em I cant remember S!@#!! Someone from the southside might know or have a better idea.

SeaDated 04-24-2002 01:33 PM

Gaboatnut Thanks. I have someone as we speak hot on the job. Two weeks to go.

gaboatnut 04-24-2002 02:25 PM

Cool...BTW, the names Andy:D

jrocket 04-24-2002 10:58 PM

Maybe this will help Byron Ga Exit 143 @ the Big Peach, lots of truckstops and good place to turn around.its the 2nd exit once 475 meets 75 again.

COOL! I'll be leaving about the time ya'll are arriving and popping your first cold one. I have driven by the HI, but didnt stop. Will ther be ample parking? ANd I thought I saw a ramp?

One way or another, look for WetDreams to arrive around 9 or so.

speedbump 04-26-2002 08:51 AM

Single male with a boat named Wet Dreams:eek:

I think I'd better go and get to waxing the boat.....:D

gaboatnut 04-26-2002 09:06 AM

SeaDated 04-26-2002 09:07 AM

gaboatnut

You saw a lot as you drove by the HI. Parking will be fun...yes there is enough. The HI has a lot across the steet as well. The ramp is on the same side of the river has the HI just across the road. Looking forward to meeting you. If I have your email, you'll be getting a copy of the itinerary. If I don't have your email send it via private message.

SeaDated 05-03-2002 08:15 AM

Only 6 days...who's coming over to wax my boat?

Stryker 05-03-2002 08:50 AM

WAXIN-SPEEDOS- NO STRYKER

Seadated-Speedy did such a great job on their boat, I offer her services and I'm sure Chris won't mind. Just supply plenty of the Bull and she will be finished in no time.

It looks like the Stryker klan will be holding off on this trip. I at least wanted one trial run before heading down to Florida, but with the weather this weekend ,that's not possible. So everyone have a great time and there will plenty of other trip's for us to attend once lil stryker is here. Be safe and have a few Red Bull's for me.

SeaBoy- How about takin it easy on the group and leave those speedos at HOME.....or better else burn em.

SeaDated 05-03-2002 09:03 AM

Stryker
All I have to say is...YOU BIG $##%$

Stryker 05-03-2002 09:24 AM

RedWarlock 05-03-2002 01:07 PM

I think you've FINALLY got it!!!:D Now, go wax your boat!(or was that polish your head's???) :p

Stryker 05-03-2002 04:05 PM

Stryker 05-03-2002 04:10 PM

That age thing kicking in. Oh well have a great safe trip and we will see you all soon on the great lake of Tunas. RM

RedWarlock 05-04-2002 11:26 PM

Careful Stryker...

Tread lightly on the age issue... I'm OLDER than Gig!!!:p :D BTW, We're talking about going up to Lanier one weekend, maybe you could come up and tourguide us around, if'n your not too busy that is. I'll get with ya around that time w/more info.

speedbump 05-06-2002 05:03 AM
