Default Lake Keawee

Going there this weekend. Never been there before. Any points of interest? How about restaurants, on the water? Where's the best place to launch?
Anybody else going to be out there?
I hear that it's at full pool.

Default not a whole lot there

It has a water fall were all of the pontoons hang out. As you go up the main which is about 3 miles long it is on the left just b4 U have to make a right hander.
Mostly retired people who think they own the lake and don't like performance boater.
I started going there years ago and got bored. The best place is at the big park. Sorry I don't remember the name. Sout cove I think??? It is just about 2 miles out of the town Seneca.
Go to Hartwell if u want the performance world. It might be slow their this weekend compared to most. A bunch of us are going to Murray to their Poker Run.
I just looked at murray's weather. Not too good. Mostly cloudy with chance of tstorms and sum 10* warmer but chance of afternoon tstorms.
If U never been to keywee it's ok but I think hartwell is 50 times better in all depts.
Local boy on keywee. live on the lake

Jrock.........Yep, Hartwell is real nice also, with much less traffic. Very nice and open on the damn side (east of rt85). You just need to get used to the brown tint of the water from the tree roots. (ring-around-the-boat). Try to stay a bit offshore, as they seem to have some treetops just below water sometimes.

But then again, Lanier is nice during the week nights also.

MikeHTM........notice you head down to GaryG some. Next time you are down here, look me up.

An easy place to eat b4 you get to Portman's exit (11) is exit 14. It is the last exit b4 Portman's. Take the ramp and turn left. Go back over 85 and it will be on your left. Nothing fancy Their are a few places on the lake but hard to tell you how to get to them by typing. Charley T's near Clemson, Dock Masters (not open on Sunday. And more. Mike
