Were gonna be out every weekend, and always lookn for people to run with. We have stuff going on all summer long, just check in at www.cbpba.com and sign up for the website, it's free. We will have our schedule up shortly. We have a couple of poker runs, raft ups, fun runs, and the offshore races in September. Some of the events require membership and some don't and new friends are always welcome. PM me if you need help with anything. |

I hit the "Hot Spots" but usually during off peak times. I don't like crowds and usually have the family with me so I try to keep a low profile. :drink: |
I'm from the Cobb Island area but can be found on the Pax River occasionally and pretty much all over the Potomac.
Gilligans, Fitzies, Tall Timbers, Colonial Beach, Coles Point to name a few |
hi guys thanks for all the replies ,i race at potomac in the summer and dont get out on the water to much but when i do just want to find the best places to go..

I'm in Hollywood. Vera's and Tiki bar are the two hotspots on the river after 4pm. Earlier in the day, you can usually find people on the beach at battle creek, and scattered around the other waterfront restaurants throughout the weekend.

I usually launch at Goose Bay, sometimes Smallwood, its closer. |
I launched once at Smallwood last year and the sea grass just about swallowed me up! Otherwise, it was a very nice place for half tide+ launching.

You guys using Smallwood Park, be careful if you have any alcohol in your boat. Its not allowed in any state park at all, and that doesnt mean drinking it. Just having it in a cooler in your boat can get you into trouble. Watched them checking people at the boat ramp.
