As many of you now know our very own "Chuckels" has been spotlighted and named repeatedly in Speedonthewaters coverage of JOTJ. His DCB can also be seen in what appears to be the first group of boats at a card stop.... these questions pose themselves:
1) Is Charlie still going to be "accessible" to us river folk?
2) Will he still allow "normal" boats to hang out with him?
3) Does he have increased security?
4) Are there scheduled meet and greet or autograph sessions planned?
5) Will Seltzer even speak to Charlie anymore?
6) Is there a waiting list for the "that's my friends DCB" apparel?

But it also was time to check out some seriously impressive hardware that made the run. One boat that caught my eye in particular was a 29’ Dave’s Custom Boats catamaran that belonged to Charlie Mattingly. The boat is powered by twin Teague 800 horsepower engines, so obviously it’s plenty fast. This was Mattingly’s third consecutive year at the event, and he said that he feels like he’s part of the family. That had proven true earlier in the day when the DCB’s ignition box failed and a fellow participant in the run loaned him the parts he needed for the repair.

I guess we should feel privileged to be in his presence. Do we bow down or is a hand shake still acceptable??
Congrats Chuckels for making us proud and getting noticed by a different crowd. We still love you don't forget us !!!

Randy... I'm trying to keep the Chuckels bobble head dolls hush-hush for the time being. We are excited to announce they will have suction cups rated for 120MPH... so most of us "others" can stick them to the dashes of our boats.
