Jason has the details I call him today or get him to respond. The ramp is not far from the start and I think it starts at 11 so I was going to get there at 1015 or so

Yeah. He pulled the carb off and took it to his shop and called me this morning. First thing he asked was "who worked on this thing...?" He said it didn't have a new carb kit on it and that the jets were completely out of wak. Also said the linkage wasn't where it was supposed to be but that the carb was the reason I wasn't able to spin more than 4300-4400 RPM. He said he'll be able to have it spinning 5200 with no problem. We're river testing in the AM.
