Sounds good. We have not set the dates as of yet, but I would imahine that we will be there sometime in June. We will be staying at a house on the lake in the Flowery Branch area.

I grew up in Roswell/ Martins Landing and we used to go to the lake quite a bit. I guess it's so busy now that it gets extremely rough. I hear a lot of people talk about it being rough, but I don't recall it being terrible. How's my little Skater gonna do on Lanier??

I can handle a 2 -2 1/2 foot washing machine dirty chop...it's the big swells that kill me. I have to get that thing up an running to pack air in the tunnel, I need to be running at least 60-65. Big 3-4'swells at 65-70 get me in a little trouble with my bride.

Am I making a mistake traveling to Lanier???

I don't want to be in the doghouse!!

On a nice weekend from a little after noon till 6 pm or so from Browns bridge south to the damn it can easliy get 3-4 with 50ft plus cruisers and 70 ft houseboats not to mention lake lice running around...north isnt too bad...make sure you have big bumpers if you tie up in cockyail cove....most of the ATL boat club goes to Alltoona .......or the various other lakes on our site..it was not comfortable at all in the 22 ft Talon..my wife didnt care for the ride at all with our son...thats why we have the Warlock for Lanier.just my .02

Sounds like we may just want to catch up with you guys on Lake Hartwell. I have heard rumors about Murray coming back in April but we will see.

Ospreyproduction-We boat on Lanier quite a bit ourselves and have found to come from the north end and south of Browns Bridge ,We will travel behind the islands and it's usually ok.From there it's only a short distance across to cocktail cove. You will experience some rollers out in the open water but it's tolerable. To us it some of the best water around the Atl area.Sundays are the roughest, like Warlock said..
from noon till six, I have to watch it at speeds in our lil 24 footer. Overall a great lake though.
