liked it very much. Everyone including the original owner said it was hard to get on plane and not so easy around the docks, not true. it came on plane easy, shifted easy, turned and docked easy. it is the arneson boat i have ever driven and i can only say good things about it. the one negative is that they are only #6 units, (chain driven and small internals.) they were only rated for around 500 hp max. the first owner who logged maybe 50 hours on it in 15 yrs broke both drives. the boat was sent to lake x in 1982 before shipping it to ny for a "dial in". they broke one of the drives there before they could even get a top speed #. they fixed the drive and sent it on its way without finishing the test.

Not too far off from your 31.
I'd love to build a new one setup like this or yours.

that boat is built like a tank. that boat will run in just about anything, the weak link is the arneson #6's.

who told you it was in the series miami vice? to my knowledge the boat went directly to wilson ny after the drive failure at lake x. i will see the original owner soon and ask him what the deal is.
