My boat dock today. The fingers are about 2 ft under water in the middle. This is the reason why you buy good boat lifts. Mine is the only one still not touching the water. The formula isnt so lucky.

I've seen several docks leaning into the water over the past week. I'm lucky, my drives are still dry. Anyone know anything about electric roof warmers?

yup....thats why I bought a poly lift.....lifts the boat up high. Look at my neighbors formula. He has to raise his drive all the time to keep the skeg and prop out.

Yup, they are electric & warm the roof. Heat trace would work just fine too. I'd put it on the underside of the roof.
Granger has it in 100' rolls.

Douchebag.....you heard wrong. Boat has GPS'd over 100 SEVERAL times with 15% slip....props are not right yet. You do the math pumpkin and figure out what the top speed will be when slip is @ 10% @ 5700rpm.....that is if you know how to. Just had the engines balanced and blueprinted by Tyler Crocket....dynod @ 808hp each @5700rpm. Have another drink....your gonna need it to drown your sorrows when I walk off and leave your ass next summer. Know what you are talking about before you start running your cockwasher.

where is rock lane? Is your black boat up and running?

Bill 3 07-23-2009 10:32 AM

Rock Lane is on the East side of Indian Point. Basically behind Indian Point Marina. By water coming from Kim City you will go around the end of Indian Point and head back in past the the small island. They have a gas station with a sign and several docks so it is hard to miss.

Unless I miss my guess, you will probably see me there sometime Saturday afternoon. If not, stop by our dock, I'll buy you a beer.

The Sonic is still down. might be out in the race boat on saturday morning.

I tried to find your dock last time I was up. You are two coves over from the bearded clam?

Yep, 2 coves over. The last deep cove that you can still see the bridge from. If you go past our cove, there is a small cove and then the next cove is a ways and across from Mill Creek. Very last dock on the right hand side.

Cry me a river! The houseboat only does 8 mph. 3 hours from KC to SK. Pizza sure was good, but it sure was expensive.

Is the permit good? Will it be allowed to be renewed?

midmo 07-27-2009 03:33 PM

Jason i just bought the permit and dock so i am building a new dock. The permit will go to the new dock. So there is no permit with the old dock.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but won;t the dock have to be taken off the lake with no permit & no new permits being issued currently?

midmo 07-27-2009 03:44 PM

You can move the old dock to any dock that already has a permit. But you are right no new permits are being issued .You can purchase and old dock with a permit and move it to your location if you have boat dock zoning. The permit is dock specific not location specific. It's real hard and very expensive to find the permit and dock.
So i am having a new dock built on my site.
