Hey Jimmy, while u are poking around Kimb City, can you see if there are any storage places (preferabally inside) that could store a boat on trailer. probably will be pushin 43-44' as a guess.
I tried calling a couple during the day down by marina & no one picked up the phone. |
spent the day on the rock... May have gotten a little too much sun.... Beautiful Day!!

I have heard several storage places advertise up to 50' indoor storage. The challenge will be to get as close to the waters as possible. On occassion, you can park it in one of my slips, but they are only 28 foot long. Wouldn't want to do it but on occassional as I hear the COE is very difficult to deal with and it would be obvious with yours hanging out the extra 8 to 10 feet.
I could be wrong. |
finally got ahold of Marina Way Storage. They have room for the boat on trailer, & only $45 mo. Its outdoors but that will work for now. I will just have to look for one of those full covers that would cover the trailer too.
i got a line on a used trailer so we hopefully will have the boat down by the 4th July holiday. Think my tahoe could pull the boat out of the water? the storage place is a couple blocks from the ramp. |

K-City is VERY steep, totaly under water right now, and the courtesy dock is crap. Go to indian point if you can. |
The Dale avenue ramp is perfect right now . The parking lot is under but the ramp is almost level.
|
I have been using Ahoys ramp with no problems. Also used Mill Creek two weeks ago because Ahoy's was full of bass boats.

yeah kcity is steep & there is no room for bigger boats. i really dont want to tow this boat very far w/ the tahoe for safety & reliability reasons. where is dale ave ramp? |
just past the state park marina down by the dam

BDiggity,
Your house is just South of the KC bridge, you have a spot to store the boat near the Port of Kimb, your Tahoe will do fine with moving and launching the boat no further than you are going. I am sure after you are around here enough you will find something easier/better, but for now you have all you need. Summer's here, stop worrying and start enjoying.:cool-smiley-011: |

BDiggity, I would scout this ramp first w/o the boat, on a weekend, and see if its what you want to get into. Its very steep and often crowded. Also look at the bearded clam launch. Anything on the other side of the bridge? |
there is a small ramp on the south side of the bridge where that condo complex is (paradise ??). we used to launch our baja there as thats part of PoK, & thats where our slip was. but for the cafe, it would be tight.
the tahoe is just temp until i find a truck. thinkin bout getting an old beater to keep down there just for the ramp duty. then ill get an accord or something to drive to & from work for better mileage. |

Who's going to be out on the water this weekend?
|
Looks like there will be a lot of folks out. We'll be out sometime today.
|
So how are things this summer?
We built walk-way extensions using 30 gallon plastic drums and wood planks to get to our docks. The longest has got to be 40ft....maybe longer. A little tippsy from side to side....but work pretty good. Too bad a bunch of ski boats like malabus' and cobalts make up the 98% majority....WTF? |
Picking up trailer next weekend & then should have boat at lake either the following weekend or week of the 4th. Depends when i can secure a vehicle to pull it down.
|
Just left Kimberling city this morning and it was slow all weekend. We were there from thursday till sunday and it was as slow as i have ever seen it. I saw a 42 Fountain, a small nordic cat and about a 28 nordic V besides that i saw a few Sea Rays and that was it. The Rock is still low pro and very nice for a weekend get away.

Now back to work..:party-smiley-004: Just kidding. |

Anybody on OSO have the RPM redline cat on table rock? Pics?
What about the eliminator or DCB with twin o/b's? |
I saw a couple red and white Nordics last week. One was a V hull and the other was a cat. They were together. Are they regulars on the lake b/c I have not seen them before.

Have you run into matt yet this summer? 32 cailber guy. |
The two red and white Nordics had very similiar graphics. Might have been father and son. I looked but did not see registration numbers or coast guard documentation on them. I saw them earlier in the week fueling up at Rapid Roberts in Kimberling.
I have not seen Matt. We were going over the KC Bridge last Thursday or Friday and I saw a boat near the bridge that might have been him. Looking forward to a nice weekend.... |
I saw the Nordics to, also a green 28ish DCB with 300xs at Marine Max in Nixa mid week. They also has that Sunsation F2 look that has been sitting up there for a while.

What boatingbent and Rubber Duck said. :D The 2 with near matching graphics are bobl's 35 Flame and txinstigators 27 Lightning. One day "rage" met up with us with his 25 Rage. And of course boatingbent's and one other 28 Heat. My Searay was right in there too but I can't understand why the Nodics are the ones that always get noticed! :evilb: Along with all the Crownlines, the Nordics, my Searay and Rubber Duck's Baja, we also had a Sunsation, Cobalt, and a big Rinker (when he'd burn enough fuel to get past the no wake bouys :drink:) |
