I'd stay where ever you stayed before. 12-15 miles up stream in your ride ought to take you 10-15 minutes not exactly a long commute (probaby less time than that). As far as lodging up there is concerned you would probably be best off renting a house. There are lots of restuarants/bars up that way (fish company, bulldogs, bucks Dock, Jp's, Captn Rons, etc).

Tuscany is the name of a relatively new condo development up that way...very nice.

Personally I'd stay in Osage Beach (old location) if you have to drive to something by car your much closer to the action.

I saw drawings that Capitan Ron's put together to present to the committee for the shootout. They have a lot of work to do this winter, but it's going to be awesome.
