Are we good to dewinterize
what do you think, i would love to go run this weekend
|
There were quite a few dewinterized last weekend for the st pats parade on the water. Looking at the next 10 days or so it looks good and by then, I'll be dewinterizing mine! :party-smiley-004:
|
Im south of loto and their saying it will get down to 28 this sunday night....next tuesday night going to be in low 30's too. Id wait a bit. Sucks:angry-smiley-038:
I cant imagine further north will be any warmer. |
scares me, I have seen it freeze well into April. Even worse when the boat will be 5 hours away!
|
I'd do it. Throw a drop light in the bilge if it drops below freezing for an extended period.

I did it last weekend. Have been checking the weather forecast daily. Looks like 33 is the lowest for the next 10 days.
I put a bildge heating in it before covering the boat up. Figured if it gets too cold I can call my neighbor or mechanic up to run over and plug the heater in. |
Hoping to dewinterize in a few more weeks. I would just drain the motors out if your worried about a cold streak, the little big of water left in them should be fine for a mild freeze.
|
I did it last week...was cruising Friday and Sunday.
Just dialed the cockpit heat up to 60 and away we went. :D |
