Rochesters, by the time you go through them or pay someone ( and i even do it ) you will have more invested in them than they are worth. Plus if you had any moisturein the past etc. they often times have corrosion in the open bowl area, To think that soaking it and reassembleing sounds easy and its fixed, doubt it. It takes time to do it right plus a gasket ( rebuild ) kit. oh yeah and patience if your doing it yourself. For the time line you are on, you would be money ahead to go get some new Demons, Holleys or Quick Fuel Technology carbs and have some nice stuff on there brand new. Don't forget fuel feed setups when you order.

QFT and Holley, Usually Jegs, Affordable and in stock quickly ships, Demons also from Jegs however you can call them at Barry Grant and let em in on what cam and engine you have etc. and they usually have the exact suggestion of what you need. Alot of the demons and qft come with bowl sight glasses, billet metering plates and base plates, Screw in air bleeds, etc. they are nice. Again be sure to address your fuel feed situation, and check for obstruction to the throttle blades once installed ( so they don't hit intake and not fully open,....it happens )

Still cant get this problem worked out. Other than just replacing them any ideas.
