Heading down to loto aug 5 through the 9th, playing one round of golf while we are down there, which is the better course, witches cove or old kinder hook.

Old Kinderhook is much better. Second choice is Osage National. Witches Cove is nice, but not real long.

Witches Cove is under reconstruction this summer if im not mistaken. Porto Cima is definatly a #1 and Kinderhook would be #2. Porto Cima is hard to get on if your not a member.

As of last year, you could get phoned in by a member for a tee-time still from what I heard at Porta Cima. Also, on Thursdays it was very reasonable to play. I think we paid $80 some dollars or so on a Thursday afternoon. Get ready for LOTO heat in Aug though, when we played it was over 105 degrees and we were ready for the water by the time we were done. I have played most of the courses on HH as well as Osage National and I think Osage is the most challenging and a neat course. The Robert Trent Jones course on HH would be my second choice if you can not get on Porta Cima and it is membership based as well or for guests of the hotel I believe. Good luck and have fun.

Porta Cima would of course be the first choice if you can find somebody to get you on.

I think they are closing it for upgrades Aug 1, or somewhere near then.
