Yes, very low numbers for that class.

If you only ran on Saturday, your 68 would
have been more like 60...due to radar gun inaccuracies.

Some people only ran on Saturday.

Remember 68 won but that doesn't mean that is as fast as the boat goes. only way to know is have some competition.

In the Nv2M & P classes in prior years and even the V1P class the top speed has been over 100. A couple of 27 fountains have run over 100 and a H2X a couple years ago ran 109.

Not trying to discourage you but remember there may be no reason to hang it all out if you don't have any competition.

I was surprised by the results is all. I know of maybe 50,000 boats plus that could leave me in upside down in their wake. Just a comment on the class. I know for a fact that there are lots of 22-26 single engine vhulls that do 80 plus. It's shocking to me that none of them were running.

Amen! Competition is about running on that day under those conditions. I'm guessing most of these boats don't run their best number.

Yes, shocking that a lot more boats didn't run. I believe a very common excuse is "overthinking".
Bring the Checkmate next year and I'll bring mine.

I think 3 things keep a lot of people from running. Insurance, don't want to finish 2nd and sometimes it's a long hot wait to run.

On the flip side, it's also a fund raiser and the money does go to good causes around the lake and into equipment that may save some lives.

Key....OK....sounds like a plan. I will be there next year. Can't promise high speeds, but I will buy the first beer after the shoot-out. Do you get to LOTO much?

I don't think anybodies boat ran as good as it could have on Sat. 100% humidity and smooth water kept me 5mh, slow at 68mph on my gps in my first two runs. Don't know what there radar had me at but Jay Tee said that it was not working right anyway. If that is true than I should have won my class in th NV-2S2-2 class.
