I believe it is members of the local (Camdenton, Osage Beach etc.) Fire&Rescue departments.
Keep in mind this may not be a sanctioned APBA-Offshore Pro Series event, HOWEVER, The men and women who volunteer to put on this event each year do the best they can with what they have. Those volunteer efforts have changed the Lake Rescue Shootout from a local weekend fun-run into an annual event that draws the baddest boats in the Nation, the biggest teams in Pro racing, and international coverage in publications such as Powerboat Magazine. This was a huge transition year for the Shootout, (location change etc). I'm looking forward to next year !
(pssst- look for an Active Thunder to return with "fresh" horsepower).

Yea just completed not to long ago, 1500hp and #6's. He would of ran alot faster if he did not blow a intake gasket. Not bad for the first shakedown. Cant wait tell next year!!!!:ernaehrung004:
