Drver (my buddy) was ejected and suffered a severly broken ankle. Many operations (one of which he flatlined on the table) later and it is still not right but as good as it will get. He has no feeling in that lower leg or foot. Passenger (his best friend at the time) stayed in the boat but hit the dash and suffered facial and other blunt force injuries. He has fully recovered. The driver, who grow up in St. Louis and was a lifetime LOTO boater, has not returned to boat on the lake since the accident. The boat suffered minor damage (busted steering wheel, shifter/throttles, bent swim platform, etc.) and was repaired and still running strong on our local pond.

Just curious...in your estimation how fast was he traveling at the time of the accident?

I have boated on LOto for my whole life (33 yrs) There has never been a 12 footer ever......I might go along with 10 -12 foot from trough to crest which would make it a 6 footer....the 65 Marquis is the king wake thrower, However the owner just passed so it is sitting at the lodge....Leaving Party Cove on a good weekend (there were none in 08) you can see honest 4-5's and on a few fireworks let outs ( in the late 90's) after shootout 02 or 03 and after oss 07 there were honest 4 footers...... it is hard for the lake to get constant rollers unless every on is going the same way.....The largest water I have ever been in was Key West 98 and Daytona 01 (maybe it was 2k) and Loto has never seen anything like that.....

I completly agree an honest 6 footer is prolly the bigest ive ever seen and ive been boatin there for 20 years but that 65ft marquis doesnt even compare to that 75ft sunseker thats around the 40mm
