Default Need Engine Help --- ATECO Engines ???

Hello from LOTO

Do any of you have experience with an ATECO engine package? Looking at the 540/700.

I have 320 hours on factory 500HPs with carbs in a Formula 353. Thinking of rebuilding but the ATECO may make sense if the quality and depenability are there.

If I rebuild mine; any suggestions as to engine specs or who is the best at LOTO or KC / STL area ?

Thanks, appreciate all the experienced input here !!!

I'm looking to do the same as you, would like to hear what people have experienced. Also what about Dyno-flow engines.

Jack353 and Wildthing357, fyi...if you're looking for reliable offshore performance engines, there are people who bring their engines all the way from the Detroit area and from LOTO to WESCO (Dave Wesseldyk's shop) in the western Michigan area. He is at least worth a phone call or stop in his shop and see some of the wild stuff he builds. Dave's phone is...616-662-2250

I visited the Dyno-flow folks a year or so ago. I think I'm going to look elsewhere although I've never run their product. Sounds like people are happy with Wesco and Riss. I'll contact both

Jack,

Several good places at LOTO to do the work. People like CPR or you can call Doug at http://performanceboatbrokerage.com/ and he can help you out.

A couple of things to consider about Wesco.....Dave does not advertise...he does not need to and he is always busy and his work/offshore engines speak for themselves.

Another thing is unless he has his hands full, Dave will always answer his phone. He doesn't run from or avoid people---he has no need to. He is a true professional.

Default im for ateco

i took my 502 carb motors out of my cafe racer and brought them to bill. his estimate was they were not 415 hp more like 385 the way they were rigged. they are now 525 hp 502 cu carb motors. not a hick up boat has never sounded or run so good. bills estimate was right on the money. and so was the time. start now dont wait till all engine builders are busy. my vote is ateco
