Is the boat world in that bad of shape? I mean are things really that bad that one of the biggest cities, Chicago, can no longer put on a decent boat show? I have been to many of the shows at the Mccormick Place and they have been full of all kinds of boats in every shape and size but this year was a complete waste of time and money in my opinion. We prefer Baja style of boats, something like an outlaw and I am not saying only Baja just that style, and there was only 1 there from formula and it was a 292 09 very underpowered. Besides that there were hardly any boats there. They fit the whole show on one floor, boats, campers and displays, with plenty of rooom to spare. In the past it was a whole floor of boats another of campers and a side room for other stuff.
Any thoughts, or as I asked is it really that bad? But if it is wouldn't you want to show it and sell it to those that come out??? One thing I will say is that if you want to buy there were some huge discounts on some of the boats that were there, I mean huge.

Coming up I55 so we stop at Cemeno's in Joliet. Used to be an old Aurelios place, still the same pizza. They have specials for uncooked take out at a greatly discounted price so we always end up bringing home several uncooked for our friends.

I really didn't think it was much different than previous years, except smaller. That is to be expected with the economy and especially the marine industry having such trouble. It was actually better than I thought it would be.
