Hi guys, we are signing up for the poker run, our first time. We hail from Muscatine and do our boating down there so not too familiar with the pool where the run is happening. A couple of the stops I am not familiar with "Lower Sand Pits and Safe Harbor". Where are those located?
Any other advice on things to know for the run? We are putting in just down the road from the Capn Table and bringing plenty of refreshments...

After about 45 minutes I was able to reserve a room at the Casino. However, NOBODY knows anything about boat slips. They said they would have somebody call me back tommorow. It sounds like there are not many rooms left, so if you want to stay at the Casino, you better book them fast.

Cyntra Walker at 563-441-7006 was taking care of the slips at the casino. I'd bet your SOL for the slip though. I have also heard several comlaints as yours about taking forever to get reservations....BS!
A buddy of mine from southern Il waited late and they told him the casino was booked, stay'n at the Radisson across the river.

I've got a some info for anybody that is coming to the poker-run. I am the co-chairperson for the event, and I want to apologize for not getting on here earlier. These events start to consume your life after a little while. We are having a pre-registration party on Friday at 6pm until ?. We will have a band, food and drinks, and we'll be handing out maps to whoever needs them. On Saturday the poker run will start @ 11am and returns to the Captains Table around 4:30 to turn your cards in. We will have boats in the run to help anyone that has no idea where to go. This has always been a cruiser poker run, but we decided this year to make it a dual poker-run with cruisers going one direction, and performance boats going in a different direction. If anyone has any questions I'll watch this forum as much as I can the next couple of days.

That sounds great guys, thanks for the info. We will be doing the long run. It is nice to have the lead boat. We are running a white/purple accent Baja H2x and a red/white Checkmate. We will look out for you folks! We are staying at the Stoney Creek Inn. Cool place that is still nearby. thanks!

As of this morning (weds) the Casino told me they still have rooms available. I was also able to reserve a slip for both nights too, but the gal at the desk didn't know if my boat (36 ft. cat) would fit into it! Hopefully it will, but if not, I ill load mine onto the trailer and let anybody who could use it have it.

To all the guys coming from out of town, there is a lateral dam that runs from the isle of Capri casino up river to the captains table restaurant. If you guys want to pm me, I can tell you where to cross it. There is a couple of designated spots to cross it. I will also have some maps for anyone coming from out of town. If i don't get to talk to everyone at the event, I hope everyone has a great time. Always looking for suggestions for the coming years.

Default Tuckerdog parking

You should have plenty of parking room atthe Isle, we have the same boat and I don't think there should be a problem.
