Hope we do not see a repeat of a few years ago. Man, it was ugly down there with all the destroyed docks.

No chit.
I remember those pix here and there was a whole lot of very ugly going on.

Good luck this week to everyone dealing with this.

Hey we're havin' the time of our lives up here shoveling this crap...spent 6 hours at it today and now it looks like another pristine 6+ on the driveway. Dock is buried; plows stopped plowing; time to open another bottle of wine and hope the dock doesn't collapse overnight.

First time I've experienced Thunder Snow - it is 17 degrees, snowing like crazy, winds up to 60mph and lightening out.

Starting to look like a couple years ago.

This might be a stupid question but here goes...

Living in Toronto, we get snow all the time. People put their boats into storage come mid October until April or so. Is snow uncommon at LOTO, and most people use their boats all winter? Just curious, seems like it would be easier to throw it on the trailer in the drive way and not have to worry about it all winter, and just put it in the water those couple times you want to use it...

This was a 100 year storm... Rarely does the lake ice over and we were told it barely ever snows. (we have found this to be total BS though in the last couple of years)

We store our boat inside, but most of our neighbors leave them on the lift all year long.

A lot of people with boats at LOTO do not even own trucks or trailers and the boats stay on the lift year round.
Very few people actually boat over the winter months and the boats are all winterized on the lifts.

A lot of people at LOTO don't own trailers. My boat is winterized sitting on the lift in my slip. Fortunately, I just checked with our condo complex manager and ALL the docks at our complex are sitting good, all floating just fine. Last time this happened in 06, our complex was all over the storm and got the dock roofs shoveled to prevent any damage to the docks. Brian, feel free to run over and check on the PP if you want.
