I put in at the public ramp last year and it shoud be fine for a 29 fter. It is a little shallow depending on the water height, but still not a problem, as it drops off quickly. Just back out , keep your drive trimmed up and go straight out into the channel.
The ramp is located about a block south of the Henry Yacht Club, just north of the bridge.

Bdubs and I scouted the Henry ramps and the Lacon ramp on Tuesday night.
The order that I would personally put them in is:
1) Henry Harbor
2) Lacon public
3) Henry public
However, the Henry Harbor ramp might be a bit tight for maneuvering a 42 foot Fountain through IMO.
I am just planning to launch in Peoria and run up with the other two Sunsations.
See ya tomorrow.

I have put in at both Lacon and Henry Public. I usually ask the locals when I go to a new launch. At the Lacon launch, there is a rock pile right in the middle about 30 ft. out , so be carefull. A different local in Henry, told me I would be better using the public launch because my trailer might fall off the Henry Harbor launch and get caught up. I have used the Henry public launch a couple of times without any problems. Much more room to park and manuever as well. The Henry Harbor launch is north of the bridge and the Henry public is south of the bridge.

Well I must put a shout out to the Henry and East Peoria clubs for a
great PR. This PR was a lot of fun and a great value.
I was contemplating how stupid my decision was in driving 9 hours
South to do the run, the storm hit when we were gassing up the boat,
and I thought maybe the day would be ruined. But the day was
really awesome. The Mighty Cobalt did get christened in IL River
fashion when one of those damn flying carps jumped onto my
swim platform and got caught in the ladder startling the sh!t out of me
not 30 seconds after launching the boat.
All in all a great day and a job well done. Congrats. We will be back!
