LOTO season length ?
I have always heard that loto dies after Labor Day. Is this true. Would the weekend after Labor Day still be a good time. If things go well with a boat deal im working on then we would be picking it up on thursday the 8th. I was thinking about hanging down for a week or so and breaking it in. Also happens to be the wifeys b-day and only a coincidence. Can you guys give me a heads up...

I would still think there would be plenty to do the weekend after Labor Day.
It dies down, but it's definately not dead. All restaurants and bars will still be open. The season runs into October or later.
Weekend after labor day is fine. LOTO offers great boating in September and October IMO.
I would agree, some of the best boating is in September and early October.
Season length? 24x7x365...all you need is an outboard.
We'll be at it until end of October, but we live here, makes it a little easier. :evilb:
Will be down in early Nov. I'll have to see whats still open then.
Many of the bars close down after October, we have plenty of nice days in November and December we make it out. We have boated all 12 months out of the year before. Just depends on the weather and desire to go boating.
Last year we didn't winterize till the first week of Nov. We then caught a nice 70 degree day on Feb 17 & 19. Except for some bass boats we had the lake to ourselves.
A bunch of places have a halloween blowout party to end the season. Check out the one at Schmidty's. Good time. I usually pack mine up in mid october, but my sisters boat has engine heaters and eisenglass so they go till almost december.
Have had the crusier out on Thanksgiving and Xmas; winterize the water systems and install some bilge heaters and you are good to go; water doesn't typically freeze until Jan.
Six or seven years ago it got up to 70* on New Years eve. We had watch the Weather Channel and anticipated going. I've had to winterized my boat up to 3 times one winter stealing nice days. :drink:

I have pictures of a 36 Skater we had out one January day with snow on the ground.......I'd post them if I was smart enough to do it.:readinghelp:

I did it.. The wife and I now own our first boat. It is a velocity 290sc. We are staying on the 11mm and having a blast. Friday was awesome on the water. Sat was a bit rough on the main but not near holiday crazy. Big cruiser wake did however scare the crap out of my wife. Looking to watch the chiefs on the lake today and see what Monday brings. Still want to open her up but still feeling her out. We have had no problems keeping ourselves entertained and well fed.

Ill see if I can find golf ball cove. Always nice to put a face to a name. If you see a white velocity with red and black graphics that appears to be lost and piloted by a rookie......that's us. Thanks for the heads up on good game spots.
