Default White Trash Bash, Paradice Beach, IL River at Peoria.

Official date for the annual White Trash Bash on Paradice Beach is Aug 4th 2012. If the river is down, follow one of the regulars out of the main channel. There is a pretty good channel cut in over to it, if you know where it is. Everyone have fun and be safe.

Paradice Beach is along the south side of a channel that was originally cut in for United Facilities and I believe Hagerty Steel. When the Paradice casino boat moved to East Peoria the channel was resored and extended to the Paradice dock. If your heading north from downtown Peoria it will be to the southeast right after the point where Farm Creek runs into the river.
The channel remains in pretty good condition however it is not marked. Once you learn the way over it's pretty easy. I draw 41" and can usually see at least 5' of water under the boat all the way over. Shallowest spot is actually near the edge of the main channel. When getting to the beach it will get shallow real quick. The drop off is pretty steep in most places. I've never seen much glass over there but the clam shells can be damn sharp.......wear shoes!!

Well said Gare!
If you are coming south on the river(assuming), once you get into Peoria, look for the Par-a-dice River Boat Casino on your left(East) side of the river. Paradice beach is on the opposite side of the River Boat. You can't miss all of the boats on the beach! Hope you can make it!

Word is to expect plenty of law enforcement presence. I'm sure they'll be looking for BUIs but it's the history of fights that has gotten the attention stirred up. Every fight I can recall over there has involved at least one non-boater who was brought out for the occasion. We should remind our friends and ourselves to leave the testosterone at home.
Now for the chick fights......well that's just pure entertainment. Just kidding.

Leave it to the non-boating bank trash to ruin a good time.

Default This Saturday

Just noticed on the Facebook page for Paradice Beach that the word is out for a party up at the beach at Chillicothe. We used to hang out up there some a few years back. Probably would be fun but Quadruple bypass surgery this Thursday is gonna hamper my fun for a few weeks.
