sounds like you need two!

dont get me wrong, the 35 is much much nicer on loto than the 23. i really didnt think about how different it would be to have something of this size. i just knew i wanted something bigger. then realized after the fact that the kids didnt think it was as fun going out on the boat since they couldnt do their things.

My 1st thought was if they wanted to tube we would take my Dad's 25' tritoon out with 150HP. I like to cove out, swim, party, then HAUL ass

Good point. Kids are young still and may want to play more than I do. I definitely have the need for speed. Have a 20' bow rider now and was going to upgrade next year for the lake and the performance. I guess thats why i'm gathering info now.

Well a 29 or 32 envision wouldnt be a bad boat to have... they will get up and go and I have friends who have tubed behind there plenty of times.

If you want to stay with a single look hard at the Envision if 29 to 32 is what you feel you must have. Also look at a 25 Baja Outlaw or a 28 Powerquest. If twins are ok for you look at a 29 Powerquest, Baja Outlaw or a 32 Sunsation all ride well in the larger water, and you can find in your price range. If you only have a 20' anything bigger is going to make a big difference.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to search a little harder. I've been looking on powerboatlistings.com I believe and haven't ran across the envision. Mostly looking at Fountain and Formula 29's.

I've got some seat time in 29 Envisions on LOTO and they do ride well. They are heavy, non-cored, straight vee boats with a lot of deadrise. The problem with the 29's is that the overwhelming majority of them were built with a single 330HP 7.4L, 310HP 7.4MPI, or 320HP 6.2L MPI. In that configuration, not only are they slow to plane and slow once on plane they suck gas like crazy. I've seen a handful with 502's and 496 MAG HO's and that is the only way I'd buy one. A 32 with twins would be a better choice. I've only seen a couple of 29's with twin small blocks.

If you want a decent boat in that size check out Kellys Port and look at the 314 mach 1 they have. Those are soild heavy boats. Its a Mid cabin like Envision so it has room to sit up front in the bow and places for 6 or so in the back. Plus its in your exact price range. The guys at kellys always sell quality boats in my experience here a link to the boat. If i wasnt looking for the 34 foot version of this boat id be buying this one tomorrow.

Here is a typical example of a 29 Envision at LOTO.

+1 Mach 1 boats made by BAHA not baja, they have a lifetime hull guarantee. They are a solid boat, but they are always under powered. That will be a very nice all around family boat you're looking at about 55mph max.

+1 to the under powered. But that is a good reason to get that boat if you want a good upgrade in size and still be able to take the kids tubing. Been on a lot of boats in that size range with twins and even though that are faster they aren't good for tubing because of the cost of gas and you can get going fast without realizing it. That's the boat for the price. They also weight more then envisions so they will take waves better.
