Default Possible LOTO vacation in june

Never been to the lake, where is a good place to stay with docks and close to any good hang out spots? Vaca is June 8-15 is there anything going on there that time and how warm is the water then?

Water temp will probably be in the mid - upper 70's. Still a bit cool for swimming unless it is really hot out.

Are you wanting to rent a condo or a house?

The OSS races are that weekend I believe.

first weekend you mentioned. www.lakerace.com

Camden on the Lake would be a good place to stay with docks and things to do. Kids or all adults?

The races are the weekend of the 8th so there will be a lot of activity up by the dam (0 MM).

Here are some suggestions:

Camden On The Lake (7MM) --> http://www.camdenonthelake.com/default.aspx
Land's End (19MM) --> http://www.landsendproperties.com/
Lazy Days (3MM Grand Glaize Arm right by State Park) --> http://lazydaysrentals.com/
The Ledges (20MM) --> http://www.pmglakeozark.com/theledges/home.asp
Tan-Tar-A (26MM) --> http://www.tan-tar-a.com/

Not sure how old the kids are, but if they are younger (<15) Land's End would be a good choice. They have some nice areas for the kids and adults.

Our friends own Point Randall Resort @ the 2 mm. They are about half way back in a big cove. The rooms are nice and clean, in ground pool, private launch and great docks. We will be there in June, a week after you. This will be our 7th year in a row staying there 2-3 times a year. www.pointrandallresort.com they are also on face book. Wherever you stay, have a great trip.

I second this. These folks are near our place, and I do business with them for fuel all season. Great people and nice little resort in a quieter area. Kids can either swim at the pool or in the lake at this location.

VRBO.com for more independent options.

I would not get too wrapped up in the lower MM. Sure the race on Sat or Sun but the rest of the time he will be heading up numbers to the Grand Glaize area and above.
HaHa Tonka for mid week.
Bear Bottom for kids
Paradise for weekend brunch, especially the first weekend with all boats running around.
