We’re organizing a Fun Run at Clinton Lake (Central Illinois) on May 19th, 2018. The event will be in memory of David Stiles. David passed away this year in a car accident at the age of 19. David grew up boating on Clinton Lake and his passion for the lake was second to none. The proceeds of the run will benefit the David Stiles Scholarship Fund at Tri-Valley High School. Details are being worked out but the concept so far is $20 a hand, 5 stops starting and finishing at the marina. Clinton Lake is 4900 acres and shaped like a boomerang-approximately 10 miles for a boatable power run. If you’ve never participated in a Fun Run this should be a great starter. Smaller water, fewer boats, nice people. A few of the boats participating are:
Baja 33 Outlaw with Brad Smith Power
Formula 303 with Baker Engineering Power
Powerquest 290 Enticer with 7.4 Mercs
Rinker 272 Captiva with 350 Mag
American Offshore 2600 NSX with Eddie Young Power
Baja 25 Outlaw with 502 Mag
Please respond to this thread if you’re interested in participating so we can manage the event properly.
Regards,
Rob

A pic from back in 2012 of a similar fun run on Clinton Lake that was attended several OSO'rs.
David was loved by anyone that ever met him. He is sorely missed by family and friends. A great kid, a great cause, and should be a good time for those that can attend.
As David would have said, "Ya, Bud!"
