Keith - thanks for your comments. If my wife and I weren't about to have a baby I would not be selling this boat - I LOVE IT. Unfortunately, with Nancy being pregnant, we have not been out on it since October and I doubt if we will be boating much this summer...

No problem! Hate to see you sell it, but I understand. Now you can get a slow gas guzzler like mine. Then we can both cry at the pump!

heck, I may even be slower than you when its all said and done... LOL. There will be another cat in my future... no better ride, IMHO.

what kind of gas milage do they get.lets say my single engine 454 25ft active thunder gets 2mpg would twin 225's get better or worse?

couldn't really tell you the efficiency in terms of mileage - but if I were to guess, I would say it is at least 2mpg if not more. Before I bought this boat I had a 29 Fountain Fever with a 525SC motor. I used at least twice the amount of fuel in that boat as I do in the Motion.

Mine got about 1.75 mpg ave. 75-90 mph That was with 280s

You will have a hard time wearing out a set of 300's
Put good oil and gas and they will last a long time.
I have a set of new xs's and really like them.
My 3rd pair of 300's.
The 225's are great motors as well
On most twin outboard set ups the gearcases are the weak link.

Can i get an amen...went thru it with my 30 Spectre with 2003 300x's...counter rotator was the weak link
