Great project, really like the red....
I have a question on your engine mounts..
they really seem to be "reaching" a long distance from the tunnel stringers to the engine mounts/plates, is this normal for an MTI?
Seems like it would be easy to make them a stronger in the fore and aft direction.
Looking forward to the completion....

Not my design the mounts. They where one of the things that MTI provided and installed. IMO when the engines are in place they will add stiffness to the stringer mounts. Inner stringer mounts are in two parts the part that is bolted to the stringer is a very thick pice of angle so it is a bit stronger than a flat metal that would be bent on a break. I am putting my confidence in the design that they use on other MTI's.
I do appreciate the feedback, as your point would strengthen the bracket.

Check out this other MTI. The mounts are on rails but they are hung similar to mine.

The quick connects in little speed are pretty slick!

It has been a while but here is what has been done. I eliminated most of the blue on the motors, and I hope to set one in next week. The dash is on hold had to make some changes, but still all digital gauge package. The transom assy. are on, and drives are in the box.
