Anyone know why the 44 was at the Barrett Jackson Auction in Scottsdale and sold for 675K w/ matching car?

Ive seen this 44w/matching Rig and trailer on the blvd at DS, and its stunning in person..

Was the owner moving on to another MTi ?

I saw that on TV. Awesome boat. Gellcoat or paint? They said those were Corvette motors. How would that boat run with light 427 Small blocks?

They are Merc 1075's Runs in the 150 range,and the boat is painted.

What is the rectangular blue unit near the peterson sump tank.
Strainer of some sort?

yes, plate strainer with screen and can be rebuilt.
