I was at Guardado Marine yesterday and saw the Lubejobs boat. It is all white now. I slipped Chris (Grafik EFX) $20 to keep that boat out of the paint booth to make sure they finish mine first. I saw them mixing up some Rust Oleum green for that boat. They were trying to decide if they should use a roller or a brush.
Seriously, they do outstanding work. There was a 47 Apache in the shop that was beyond description. Just the trailer alone must have had $30,000 worth of extra work in paint and accessories. It had fender skirts!!!

Don't worry, I will be back from my cruise on friday and will slip Chris $40 to put yours back where it was before you came town, it the empty warehouse for "no Rush" jobs.

Since the boat was a race boat with a light layup, the gelcoat was real thin. The deck had some print through. So to hide that they block sanded and sprayed six coats of epoxy primer. The sanding alone took three-four guys a week between all the coats. Also notice the clean deck. No more grab handles. The hatches are not quite done as the intake holes are not cut yet. The scoops are certainly different. The color yellow is only the first color on the sides. The process involves laying down color and then masking the area you want to keep and shooting the next color. The yellow is only a small section of the design and gives no clue to the final product. Also not shown is the removable hard top and scoop. Three more weeks to finish the paint.

Here is the cockpit area with the top off. There is a filler section for the opening from the scoop. That part needs to be removable so the top scoop remains functional with the canopy installed.
