come on with the pics. you got my blood flowin, wish i could have made my trip for this weekend. im right on anna maria island i could have watched them run to the skyway. **** i miss all the good stuff. if the pics dont get posted soon ya'll will have to come back the last weekend in april so i can see it in person

What a day.
I was lucky enough to be in a helo to shoot this run.
The wind had been whipping through the Gulf for days and the water in Tampa Bay proved it.
It looked like 4-6's from the air, but I'll bet that nasty stuff felt bigger in a boat.
These first two shots sum up the day.
Second pic is Mercedes-Benz, Aqua Mania and Pure Platinum all coming to the same conclusion at the same time: F@#K THIS!!!
You can see how far into the gulf it took them to reach the U-turn conclusion.
My pilot was fighting the wind all day- trying to hold position and could not turn into the wind-
we had to go the long way around every time, and couldn't go too low for obvious reasons.
Quite a memorable day, especially for the 8 rough riders that managed to make it to the lunch stop!

Looks like a normal afternoon out here in San Diego. It always turns to **** in the afternoon.
