After that sunset in #164 I was walking over the bridge and got this... set the cam on the handrail for the .4 sec exposure.

Looking at my old shot of JBS in the Miami party notice up there got me to thinking about the boat.
Always loved that thing and have plenty of great shots of it.

A lot can happen in 3 years, and I am much better at processing images these days so I decided to take a look back.
The Miami race in 2009 was memorable for several reasons- the water was damn rough, and it was the final race for this incarnation of this Mystic.
Obviously, a day that the JBS crew would rather forget.

Here's the shot.
Last lap of the race and the delam on the starboard sponson is really accelerating. It was all over shortly after this shot was taken.

Here's another one I missed on the first go.

Leaving out of A&B Marina, Key West aboard Team Predator to crush the speed record to Cancun. Shot from the observation deck of the Galleon, the guys were kind enough to slow down at the dock and let me jump aboard for a day I will never forget. :thankyouthankyou:

Last night about 11 PM I came across your post, Downtown. I made the mistake of clicking on the link and over the next hour or so I read, and read and relived that day. Was a bit late when I put the lights out. LOL It was an awesome experience and yes you were first to pick us up on the Key West webcam as we entered the harbor on our return. Thanks for following along.
