Sarasota Suncoast SBI 2010 - PHOTOS
Rained all the way there this morning.
Rained all morning in the pits. Rained on the beach for the first hour and a half I was there. Then it stopped. Then there was boat racing in Sarasota. :evilb: Here's the shot of the day. View the large size here. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4122/...389c8066_b.jpg |
Fabulous action shot !!!!
How close would they have been to one another there ???? |
Clouds made the day a bit cooler than normal. That was a good thing, but the light was constantly changing and played tricks with white balance all day.
These guys all look good in any light. :drink: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4098/...3d73e940_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4143/...acc98dc1_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4100/...715b5e39_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4075/...569a2f49_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4074/...3eff8d66_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4080/...a677c02c_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4137/...6fe09bd8_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4097/...d0a0e7d7_b.jpg |

How close would they have been to one another there ???? The camera can fool you on a photo like that because of a phenomenon called foreshortening. They were 100yds away from the beach. My best guess- 20 ft minimum, probably more. |
There were some birds on the beach, too. :drink:

I was amazed at how many people were on the beach early when it was still raining. And they kept on coming.
Sarasota has the best race fans anywhere. :drink: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4077/...55717ea7_b.jpg |

Here's the sequence of the Amsoil spinout. Loved watching those two bang it all day- good stuff.
