Catastrophe 08-08-2010 04:38 PM

One of the most interesting boats that attended was a 28-30 foot Pontoon boat with 2 ...300 hp Verados on it.

Reportedly runs 65 mph.

And it was out there at all the starts runnin hard in the slop.

Really odd to see.

I just heard the story about that from a buddie that was there.
Funny as hell, but did he have the Bar-B-Qe fired up for the lunch stop?:drink:

he had a bunch of guys on it from what I saw.

and when the starts happened he didnt hang back one bit.

Ballsy for sure.

When they were turning the cards over at the awards dinner and they came to that boat he got a wild round of clapping and cheers. Was neat to see.

The hand was chit and the drive home was in the rain.

Jay " processed " his photos while I steered.

WooHoo, my streak continues ..... :)

We had dry roads home, but it started to rain just as my wife suggested I cut the grass.

Make sure to remind him to email me a bunch of them.....

Powered by tripple blown EFI'd Big blocks [I took pics] REALLY sweet ride, I think it has "Ostrich" skin interior, A/C the whole 9 yards, gorgeous boat, and I think its for sale, sadly, I didn't win the powerball, so, I am out!

It rides like a Cadillac at 100 MPH! I went to lunch on it when it was new and it screams with 3,000 HP. Mark currently has 2 triple engine Nortechs and I'm sure he will be another considering he has built 3 so far.

Powerball rolled so you are still in for next week! :drink:

n20michael 08-08-2010 09:20 PM

Great!!! I will order one now, if I win I will buy you one too!, LOL

I cant imagine what its like to go for a ride one something that sweet!

Michael

Wisely they had Kyle do the haul and they flew in Friday night. After the run I said to Eileen, well how did you enjoy that ? The answer - Bob, that was so unbelievably beautiful we are going to do it again next year....... no wait... every year. They both could not stop smiling. Nice to see them enjoy it after coming so far.

Great coverage Jay! Boy did I miss a great weekend combo of Boxy, Jay and Bob. I need to talk the Jersey crew back into to going.
Oh, and I need those Arnesons for my Comp....

Kyle is the man! :drink:

Glad to see that big beautiful boat getting used! The sight of that 40 foot rooster tail and the whistle of the blowers makes that quite a thrilling ride!

Tommy, Bob and Jay are fantastic running mates, but Alec is the catalyst that makes it all go BooM !!!!
If we mixed the two groups together, it'll take a week to recover.
You guys were missed.

Yes you do... They can stab the throttles from an idle and hit 125 + without having to touch the wheel.. Rock solid boat..
