Ft Myers Offshore 2011 Turkey Run - P H O T O S

Thanks. Sunset yesterday from the bridge at Big Carlos Pass- at the south end of Ft Myers Beach. I have been wanting to shoot a sunset from there and the timing worked out good yesterday as I was on my way home.
If Jeff and Glenn had come by ten minutes earlier, they would have been in it.

I need an app that lets me know when my friends are within range of my lens!
I got a few shots of the Fountains, but the light was gone by the time I saw you, Bill. Didn't have the long lens with me.
I have seen a number of nice sunsets while driving over that bridge and I've always wanted to shoot one from there. That curve in the end of the beach is what does it for me.
There were no fishermen on the pier yesterday because they were dredging to replenish the beach (destroyed by recent storm) and the water was very cloudy. There were a zillion birds on the little berm that was under construction. I waited for quite a few minutes at several different locations for something to spook them. More on this later- but it was interesting how all the birds were grouped in ONE place, and it was right in the middle of huge human activity all around.
Strange juxtaposition.
