Insta-Lube Preluber
#1
All internal combustion engines have a design flaw!
The crankshaft drives the oil pump that pressurizes the lubrication system. And every time the engine is started, several hundred revolutions of the Crankshaft occur before pressurized oil is present to lubricate the bearings.
This design flaw results in dry bearing abrasion each and every time the engine is started.
If this could be avoided up to 40% to 60% of total engine wear would be eliminated.
With the Insta-Lube kit installed Filtered oil is stored in the Accumulator tank ready to pressurize the engine oil system on the next startup, BEFORE the first revolution of the Crankshaft.
Thereby completely eliminating all of the bearing wear due to dry bearing abrasion!
With the preluber installed, as soon as the ignition key is turned on the low oil pressure light will turn off. And the oil pressure gauge will start to register pressure BEFORE the starter engages!!
The storage tank is connected to the engine oil galley with 3/8-inch hydraulic hose where the pressure-sending unit enters the block. When the engine is running the Solenoid Valve is open and oil is forced into the tank. As the back pressure equals the engine oil pressure it stops entering the tank.
And when the key is turned off the Solenoid Valve closes before oil can escape the storage tank.
The next time you turn the key on the pressurized oil from the Accumulator is returned to the oil galley to pressurize all the bearings just as though the oil pump was running, even if it was months since the last time the engine was operated.
Main Bearing and Rod Bearing Knocking Prevented!
That's right with the Insta-Lube Pre-Lube kit installed, the Main Bearings, Rod Bearings, Camshaft Bearings and Turbo Charger Bearings will be pressurized and separated before startup.
Another benefit of having the engine oil system pressurized before startup is that the Hydraulic Valve Lifters will be adjusted before the first revolution of the Crankshaft.
Insta-Lube Engine Oil Pre Lube System will work for all auto, car, truck, marine, motor home, suv, industrial engines, gasoline engines or diesel engines and motors.
There are four kit sizes to choose from for engines with limited space in the engine compartment to the largest industrial and marine engines.
The Insta-Lube Kits use marine grade hardware and fittings ideal for boat engines or marine inboard engines.
The Insta-Lube engine pre-lube accessory will pay for itself many times over.

If you used a boat like a car on a daily routine basis and did not let it sit for more than a day or two then prelubers might not be a high priority.
Letting a boat sit a few days and then grinding away at an unlubricated engine with cylinders and bearings starving for oil is probably where 25% of the engine's life goes.
These devices really ought be standard from the manufacturer. Since they are not this looks like a good one!

How does the oil quantity work when doing an oil change. If you take a normal 8 qt. system, and add 3 more for the preluber, wouldn't the engine run with 3 quarts over filled until the preluber get's pressurized and filled again?

Oil stabilizer doesn't supply pressure.
Those are pretty good prices on those pre-lubers. There was a write up in one of the magazines about that particular one, if I had something other than an old black motor I'd have one.
