What are the benefits other than cool looking stuff? Does it feel tighter than the factory stuff? I am about to re do my steering and tiller arm this winter when I pull the engine.

An updated look is one of the primary benefits of this package. The billet hardware is going to hold up better than some of the factory plastic pieces as well. We set these up so a guy can replace the steering they've had in their boat for 20-30 years for a lower price than buying all the pieces separate. If your steering cable and helm is worn out, and your wheel and mounting hardware are out of date and worn out, this kit is for you.

Thank you! I think I am going to wait until I tear it apart and see if the cable and helm are worn, if they are I will probably order one of these kits.
