I love diesels, also race them, somewhat best of both worlds if top speed is not your main objective. I like the fuel burn, the acceleration, somewhat a happy medium.

As to the shifters these are one of the only few that are available at the time, the engine is all electronic so are the sycronized shifters, really no throttling per say, the computor does it all. Forward, reverse with in milaseconds, not an attractive piece by any means, but very functional. I was hoping Livorsi or someone was coming out with a shifter/throttle like you typically see. Thanks Jeff

looks great Jeff. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I am very interested in how the boat performs with the engine/drive set up. Not just top speed but how it comes on plane, docking, MPG burn, balance, rigging issues and all the small details.

All I have is pics of the Yanmars Diesels before the install, maybe Terry will post some of the engine compartment, rigging when I last saw it was awesome. I used blue mirror plex on the sides of the engine bay as well. 480hp and like 935tq. Arneson ASD-8's. . Thanks Jeff

Great guy, I guess he worked at OL for 12 years, extremely knowledgable, he did the majority of my rig job. Jeff

Sorry I missed your post. The orig. one I tested topped out 73-74. Nice package, the person who bought it just traded it back in for a 50 Nortech with the trip 485 Yanmars. Speed on that will be about the same. The 43 I tested docked with no problem, actually as good if not better than my last 4300 with #5's. The icing on the cake was the bow thrusters. Terry and Trond are waiting for wheels and Im sure they will post some speeds when finshed. Im in no hurry, and am glad they are willing to take the time and get every last mile out of her vs saying here ya go, and enjoy. A few pics here and there keep me satisfied. Great Co, and my next boat will also be another Nortech  Jeff

Did you pay for the additional premium option of Forward? Or did you just opt for Reverse? Those step bottom boats are dangerous you know at anything over neutral speeds.
