The Big Blue Nortechs
#1
Whats the story on the blue Nortechs running around the Ft Myers Beach area? For awhile, we would see them go out in pairs nearly everyday with a bunch of guys on board, then maybe only 2 guys. They had to be diesel powered.

It's part of "Operation Enduring Friendship".
The boats are being deployed throughout the Carribean and Central America for intercepting bad guys.
The 43' boats are operated by the host nations.
What you're seeing are the teams from their countries conducting training missions off the beach.

I was followed by one about 2 weeks ago as I was heading to Keywayden in Naples.Just pasted FMB. They followed behind for about 2 min. I was cruising along about 65. 3-5 Seas. 15 mph on-shore wind. I was driving.
Had 7 peeps on board. Wife mentioned maybe coast guard. I said no way no in that thing. I figured it was someone following me to Keywayden.
After about 5 min they pulled along my strbd side. I read Nor-Tech on the side(Blue boat). Had about 6 guys on board in uniform.
I guess they saw I had family and my kids on board. Gave a thumbs up and made a hard left to the open gulf to some other boats.
It was a sharp looking boat.
Terry What pkg they running? Diesels or ???

Triple Yanmar 315's
Chuck W is our contract administrator for Gov. deals.
No need to sweat if they're tailing or intercepting you.
They're just training and or checking our your cool boats. Besides the guys in uniforms aren't from the US.
